Dr Kulatunga enjoys meeting and working with children and admires their resilience when coping with a diagnosis and treatment. When not at work, she loves spending time with her family, and travelling around Australia’s great outdoors.

Dr Kulatunga is dual trained in general and developmental paediatrics. She provides care for children from birth through to 16 years of age, and has special interest in how they grow, acquire knowledge and skills, and learn to behave and socialise. 

Dr Kulatunga diagnoses and manages a range of general health conditions and determines and treats different problems of development and behaviour. This includes:

  • developmental delays

  • learning difficulties at school

  • anxiety and sleeping difficulties

  • general paediatrics and neonatology

  • ADHD

  • Autism.

She is trained in Griffiths Developmental Assessments, ADHD and Autism Assessments, and she speaks English and Sinhala.

Dr Kulatunga completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Sri Lanka. She moved to Australia in 2009 and completed her paediatrics training at the Perth Children’s Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital in Western Australia. 

She studied further and completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) in Australia, and Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) part 1 and 2 exams in the United Kingdom. In 2022, she achieved a General Paediatrics Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
